Discussion: Global Travel and Migration
Disclaimer: this discussion board topic is not intended to disregard our current living experience of the Covid-19 pandemic or dismiss it’s severity in any fashion. As with many of our discussions, we are able to place ourselves in the material, in a manner of speaking, and that is the hope with this topic as well. The hypothetical of this discussion is simply that – hypothetical, and is no way encouraging travel in our current health crisis. I know it is at the forefront of our minds on a daily basis and this exercise is not meant to be insensitive to that in any way.
If you were able to hypothetically travel anywhere, with unlimited funds, where would you prefer to visit? Why? If this is something you hadn’t thought of to a great extent, feel free to do some research (i.e. google “Top Ten Places to Travel in 2022” or something). We may all dare to dream, right?
Now, if you were able to migrate to any country, what country would it be, other than the U.S. (You may document that you prefer to stay in the U.S. if you wish, but this is hypothetical-just for fun)? What would the push and pull factors be for you? These may be economic, education, political, or otherwise (be scholarly, respectful, and non-judgemental).
Please feel free to provide your honest, yet kind, opinion. Be mindful of others’ opinions and experiences.
